You have reached Muscat Mommy, one of the many blogs owned and run by Shi. This website was specifically created to chronicle my adventures and experiences as an expatriate wife, mother and career woman based in Oman.
I have been blogging since 2001 and living in Muscat, the Sultanate’s capital city, since 2007. However, believe or not, this is the first time I have put together a journal specifically focused on living in the country I have called home for so many years now. It’s about time, I say, since my husband and I will be celebrating our tenth year as Oman residents on the 1st of October 2017!
As for the site title, please do not be misled by its seemingly generic, alliterative nature. Muscat Mommy is far from being your run-of-the-mill “mommy blog.” Indeed, I am a very proud mother, but I am also a full-time career woman, a sports enthusiast and an author. My adventures of late have taken for the most part in Muscat and throughout Oman, so why not blog about it all?
